Daylight Savings Time Schedule 2009

Daylight saving time or Summer Time is the convention of advancing clocks so that in the afternoon you can have more daylight and in the morning have less. This year clocks are adjusted forward one hour on Sunday, March 8 at 2 AM local time (no matter where you live, 02:00 AM for you is always local time) and are adjusted backward on Sunday, November 1 at 2 AM local time. Modern Daylight saving time was first proposed in 1907 by the English builder William Willett.Since then many countries are using this method to help people to enjoy more daylight and to save more energy.

There are some benefits of adding daylight to afternoons for people activities after working hours, better traffic conditions, saving money by paying less bills. But it has some negative affect to some people biological rhythms especially who are working early hours because it is difficult for them to wake up and be full of energy and in good mood.

Another part of people want to fill their lives with joy and save energy and money, and maximize their lives, so they are talking about opportunity to Double Daylight Saving Time a big, two-hour push forward of the clocks that would turn summers into a marathon of gorgeous, endless evenings.
