Sears Tower becomes Willis Tower

The Sears Tower has been the tallest building in United States since 1973.

It is one of five freestanding structures in the world which exceed 500 meters in height.

It was designed by American architect Bruce Graham who is an author of Inland Steel Building and the John Hancook Centre.

The Sears Tower has 108 stories plus main roof and the mechanical penthouse.

In 1982 two television antennas were added to the building and increased its height to 520 meters or 1,707 feet.

Now the Sears Tower is changing its name and will become Willis Tower.

The reason of these changes is London –based Willis group Holdings - the largest new tenant to move into the building.

Van Morrison Tour

Acording to official biography, “Van Morrison is a Grammy Award-winning singer, songwriter, author, poet and multi-instrumentalist, who is widely considered one of the most important living artist of our time. He has albums that are ranked greatest in the entire rock and roll canon. He has over 150 songs featured in major motion pictures—with the latest being featured in the Scorsese film "The Departed".
"Morrison remains a singer who can be compared to no other in the history of rock & roll, a singer who cannot be pinned down, dismissed, or fitted into anyone's expectations."- says Greil Marcus an American music journalist and cultural critic.
American music journalist, author and musician Leslie Conway Bangs said about him:- "Van Morrison is interested, obsessed with how much musical or verbal information he can compress into a small space, and, almost, conversely, how far he can spread one note, word, sound, or picture. To capture one moment, be it a caress or a twitch. He repeats certain phrases to extremes that from anybody else would seem ridiculous, because he's waiting for a vision to unfold, trying as unobtrusively as possible to nudge it along...It's the great search, fueled by the belief that through these musical and mental processes illumination is attainable. Or may at least be glimpsed."[
"The only thing I love is the music. The rest of it is pure shit." - Van Morrison, Village Voice

If you are a fan, now you have a great opportunity to see Van Morrison live in London.

HELOC

"A home equity line of credit (often called HELOC and pronounced HEE-lock) is a loan in which the lender agrees to lend a maximum amount within an agreed period (called a term), where the collateral is the borrower's equity in his/her house...

HELOC loans became very popular in the United States in the early and mid 2000s, in part because interest paid was (and is) typically (depending on specific circumstances) deductible under federal and many state income tax laws. This effectively reduced the cost of borrowing funds and offered an attractive tax incentive over traditional methods of borrowing (such as credit card debt). Another reason for the popularity of HELOCs is their flexibility, both in terms of borrowing and repaying on a schedule determined by the borrower. Furthermore, HELOC loans' popularity growth may also stem from their having a better image than a "second mortgage" a term which can more directly imply an undesirable level of debt. Of course, within the lending industry itself, a HELOC is categorized as a second mortgage."

India vs New Zealand 3rd odi highlights

"Watch cricket highlights of the 3rd ODI - India vs New Zealand played at Christchurch on March 8, 2009.

Scoreline: India 392/4. Sachin Tendulkar 163 (130) retd hurt, Yuvraj Singh 87 (60), MS Dhoni 68 (58). NZ 334 - Jesse Ryder 105 (80), McCullum 71, Kyle Mills 54 (32), Southee 32 (20)

Pregame expected Yuvraj to strut his stuff alongside Sachin or Sehwag. For a while that was the case, but overall - one man - Sachin f***in Tendulkar. Take your chappal to the next piece of crap who talks about Sachin’s place in this young team. I’ve aimed mine at Charu Sharma for starters.

A big chance missed for Tendulkar to get the first 200 in ODI cricket. Unfortunately cramping out of the game..."

Daylight Savings Time Schedule 2009

Daylight saving time or Summer Time is the convention of advancing clocks so that in the afternoon you can have more daylight and in the morning have less. This year clocks are adjusted forward one hour on Sunday, March 8 at 2 AM local time (no matter where you live, 02:00 AM for you is always local time) and are adjusted backward on Sunday, November 1 at 2 AM local time. Modern Daylight saving time was first proposed in 1907 by the English builder William Willett.Since then many countries are using this method to help people to enjoy more daylight and to save more energy.

There are some benefits of adding daylight to afternoons for people activities after working hours, better traffic conditions, saving money by paying less bills. But it has some negative affect to some people biological rhythms especially who are working early hours because it is difficult for them to wake up and be full of energy and in good mood.

Another part of people want to fill their lives with joy and save energy and money, and maximize their lives, so they are talking about opportunity to Double Daylight Saving Time a big, two-hour push forward of the clocks that would turn summers into a marathon of gorgeous, endless evenings.
